How to print product barcode labels

Bookmarks: Printing labels

There are five product label sizes available for printing:

  1. 50 x 25 mm
  2. 54 x 25 mm
  3. 100 x 50 mm
  4. 175 x 102 mm
  5. 50.8 x 12.7 mm

In order for a successful print, please ensure the printer setting is correctly configured on your computer:

for the example below, we have used the SATO WS4 Direct Thermal label printer

  • The correct printer driver is installed; please visit your printer manufacturing website to download the driver or contact your IT person
  • There is one crucial setting that is required to set.
This is the paper size setting.
To configure this, on Windows operating system, go to
Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right click on the SATO WS4 printer (or your label printer) and choose “Printer references”
See below screenshot (note your printer setting might look different to our screenshot):

Tip: After printing the labels, the orientation might be incorrect, if this happens, try printing the labels in Landscape or Portrait mode.

Printing labels

To print labels, there are three ways:

Firstly, via the products page:

  1. Go to Products menu, then "Sku variations"
  2. Find, search, then select/tick the products to print
  3. In the Actions dropdown box, choose the label size by clicking on the respective "Print labels (5cm x 2.5cm)" or another size
  4. The system will render the labels into a PDF file
  5. Print the PDF file onto your label printer (ensure the paper size is set correctly above).

Secondly, via the "Print labels" program:

  1. Go to "Products menu" > Inventory control
  2. Then "Print product labels"

Thirdly, via the purchase orders program:

  1. Open or edit an existing purchase order
  2. Click on the dropdown arrow next to the "Print" button
  3. Then choose "Print labels"
  4. This will pull across all the order's products onto the print label program automatically
  5. If need to, adjust the number or quantities to print

The barcode number used for the product will be either the default barcode or the first available barcode number loaded/entered for the product.

Otherwise, when there is no barcodes loaded for the product, the system will generate an unique random barcode number that starts with Q

To load or change barcode numbers, goto Products menu, then "Sku variations" to edit the product and input the barcode numbers there.
