Trade Me integration

Integration setup

First, connect to your TradeMe account by going to

•     Integrations, Trade Me then Settings page
•     Click on the Connect button and follow the on-screen prompts by Trade Me
•     Once connected, go to "Listing defaults" to define the default values for new listings

To add products selectively to the Trade Me feed:

•     Go to the Products menu then Channel feeds
•     Select the Trade Me channel
•     Click "Add products" to select one or more products to be added

Tip, the detailed description of the product can be edited/maintained from the Html description tab of the products editing page, see below:

Information about adding a new product:

1. Create the products first
   • The Html description and categories are optional at this stage
             The new product just requires:
                 SKU
                 Selling price
                 Image
   • For products with variations, then ensure the option (size or colour) word is filled in
2. Then, go to "Channel feeds" to add products
   • If a product has already got a Html description, image and category, then it will be ready to be sent to Trade Me
   • Otherwise:
     • Try adding one product at a time
     • And then edit the listing details such as title, Html description and categories

Adding a new listing

• Go to Products menu > Channel feeds
• Select Trade Me from the channels drop down list (if not already selected)
• Click "Add products"
• Choose a product
• At this stage, the listing default options are brought across
• Edit the listing options and save these against this listing only, this include:
  • Duration
  • Title (override)
  • Full body description
  • Shipping options
  • And others

Products setup

Trade Me requires:

• Detailed descriptions; this can be edited on the Html description of the products edit page
• Categories and by adding products to the feed, the categories must be mapped to Trade Me's categories
  The categories are product categories that you can assign from the Products edit page.

Removing a listing

1. From the Channel feeds page
2. Tick one or more product listing
3. Click "Remove selected"

Refresh the images for a listing

1. From the Channel feeds page
2. Tick one or more product listing
3. Click "Resend photos"

On the Channel feeds page, you can see if there are any error message or to see the Trade Me listing IDs, for example:
