New tax types mapping

When the rate of the current tax or GST is changing, setup the new tax types ahead of time on Qblue and Xero.

Apart from setting up a new tax type (for example: Tax exclusive 9%) on Qblue, it would be good to map it to the same/similar tax rates on Xero.

To do this:

  • After creating the new tax rates/types on Qblue and Xero, import Xero's tax rates by clicking on the "Refresh accounts from Xero" button (on the Xero integration settings page):

  • Then, on the same settings page (near the bottom), click "Other tax codes" and then click on one tax type (at a time) to map and link it:

While there are outstanding sales orders that have the current/old rate, leave the current tax code mappings to the current/old tax rates.
