How do I upload product images?
There are two ways to upload product images:
- Editing the product directly via the product editor, or
- Importing a spreadsheet (use this method if updating products one-by-one is too time-consuming).
📝Note: for products with two or more variations, both the parent product (list product) and each of its variations can have their own default images.
The first image in the display order will be set as the parent (list) product's default image. Any image linked to a specific SKU will be set as the default image for that variation.
Using the product editor (updating each product at a time)
To set an image for a parent (list) product:
- Go to Products, then select Products / Sku variations.
- Open the product you want to work with by clicking on it.
- Click Images on the left access menu.
- Click +New image to upload an image.
The first uploaded image becomes the default for that list product. To change it, select an existing image and click Set default.
- Press Save.
To set an image for a SKU variation:
- Go to Products, then select Products / Sku variations.
- Open the product you want to work with by clicking on it.
- Click Change image at the top-right.
- If there are no existing images for the list product, you'll be prompted to upload a new image.
- If images already exist, choose one and click Set default for variant, or click New image to upload a variation-specific image (set as the variation's default).
- Press Save.
Using a spreadsheet import
- Download the spreadsheet template.
- Go to Products, then select Import data.
- Select the data type Product images.
- Click Download.
- Edit the spreadsheet columns.
- SKU: the product SKU (must already exist in the system)
- Image name or URL: the fully qualified website URL of the image e.g. https://mycompany.com/images/abcde.png
- (Optional) Position: sets the sort/display order of images for the same list product
- Import the spreadsheet file.
- Go to Products, then select Import data.
- Select the data type Product images and upload the updated spreadsheet, then save.
