How do I print barcode labels for my products?
Are there standard label sizes?
There are five available for printing:
- 50 x 25 mm
- 54 x 25 mm
- 100 x 50 mm
- 175 x 102 mm
- 50.8 x 12.7 mm
How do I set up my label printer?
To ensure successful label printing, your printer must be configured correctly on your computer.
For example, using a SATO WS4 Direct Thermal label printer:
- Install the correct printer driver. Download the driver from the manufacturer's website or contact your IT support person for assistance.
- Configure paper size settings. On Windows:
- Go to Control Panel, then Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your label printer (e.g. SATO WS4) and select Printer preferences.
- Set the paper size to match the label you will be printing.

Tip: if the printed label is not correctly aligned or appears sideways, try switching between portrait and landscape orientation in the printer settings.
Where can I print labels for my products?
There are three ways to print product labels:
(Option 1) From the products page:
- Go to Products, then select Products / Sku variations.
- Search for and select the products you want to print.
- Click Actions (dropdown box), then select your preferred label size e.g. "print labels (5cm x 2.5cm)". This will generate a PDF file with the labels.
- Open and print the PDF file on your label printer. Ensure the paper size and orientation match your label settings.
(Option 2) Via the "Print product labels" program:
- Go to Products. Select Inventory control, then Print product labels.
- Click +Add products.
- Search for and select the products you want to print.
- Click +Add selected products, then Print now.
(Option 3) Via the "Purchase orders" program:
- Go to Purchases, then select Purchase orders.
- Open the order you're printing by clicking on it.
- Click the dropdown arrow next to Print, then select Print labels.
- All products from the order will be loaded into the print label program. Adjust the quantity of labels to your need before printing.
The barcode printed on each label will be either the default barcode number or the first available barcode number entered for the product. If no barcode exists, a unique random barcode starting with "Q" will be auto-generated.
How do I edit a product's barcode number?
To do this:
- Go to Products, then select Products / Sku variations.
- Open the product you want to edit by clicking on it.
- On the left access menu, click Barcodes to edit or modify the barcode number(s).
