Delivery run

Delivery run is a new function designed to streamline shipment processing for businesses operating a truck-based delivery system. It provides a scheduled list of dispatched orders that are ready for delivery. Delivery drivers can collect e-signatures from customers, upload photos as proof of delivery, and mark orders as delivered.

It eliminates the need for third-party platforms or manual cross-checking, keeping everything centralised and manageable from one place.

How it works and the delivery workflow

Any sales orders that have been dispatched/invoiced and are awaiting delivery will in the delivery run list. By default, today's dispatched orders are shown, but you can select any date range using the filters at the top-left of the screen.

To show only a specific set of orders, you can apply filters such as delivery method (e.g. orders to be shipped via delivery truck, priority orders, etc) or location.

Delivery workflow

  1. The delivery driver logs into Qblue with their own user login.
  2. The driver begins deliveries, according to how the company operates their routes and schedules.
  3. (Optional) The driver collects a customer e-signature and uploads a photo as proof of delivery.
  4. The driver completes the delivery by pressing "Mark as delivered/collected" before moving to the next order.

Once completed, the order will no longer appear on the delivery run list. You'll see that it's been marked as delivered and collected when you view the invoice, as shown below:

Upcoming features

Delivery run is a newly launched function, with many more improvements and capabilities planned in the near future. You can expect to see features like:

  1. Visuals and interfaces to clearly indicate the status of each shipment for operations with more than one delivery driver.
  2. Visuals to clearly indicate whether an order is completed or not on the delivery run list.
  3. The delivery run list to, by default, display only orders awaiting shipment by truck.
  4. Improvement of the values displayed when viewing an invoice.
  5. A way to display all shipments, selected for a particular date range, that includes completed orders (will also streamline the process of undoing a delivery).
