How do gift vouchers work?
How do I set up and generate gift vouchers?
To do this:
- Set the expiry period for gift vouchers.
- Go to My account, then select Settings.
- Under the Sales section, click Options.
- Under the POS panel, fill in the "Voucher (gift & service) expiry in days" field.
- Create a gift voucher product.
- Create a non-diminishing product with a clear SKU and description (e.g. SKU: GV50, description: $50 Gift Voucher)
- (Optional) Add terms and conditions.
- Go to My account, then select Settings.
- Click Receipt design and fill in the "Vouchers terms and conditions" or "Service vouchers terms and conditions" field.
- These terms appear on printed receipts but aren't included in PDF invoices.
Voucher numbers are generated automatically when there is a product in the order whose description contains the phrase "gift voucher."
How are gift vouchers printed on receipts and invoices?
During POS transactions:
If receipt auto-print is enabled, the invoice receipt will be printed first, followed by the voucher receipt.
For PDF invoices, the voucher number, value, and expiry dates are printed at the bottom of the page.
During standard sales orders:
Voucher details are printed the same way as PDF invoices.
Is there a way I can all view vouchers that have been issued?
Yes—to do this:
- Click Reports, then select View all reports.
- Click Vouchers.
Can Qblue gift vouchers be redeemed through my online store or other platforms?
