Creating a new product with multiple variants


Creating a new product with multiple variants, e.g. for the same product type, make, model, brand and style, it comes with different colours and sizes.

  1. On "Sku variations", click "New product"
  2. Enter the product's title description e.g. "Super Show Blue/Pink"
  3. Select the product attributes including Product type, Categories and/or Tags
    If the desire product type is not in the existing list, click on the pencial icon (next to the title "Product type") to add more
  4. Enter the first variant of the product, e.g. sku=SSBP-6, size=6, selling price and an estimated purchase unit cost price
  5. To continue with the next variant, click "Add another variation"; (tip: copy the product code/sku for the next variants)
  6. Enter or paste the sku code and change the size in the code, e.g. SSBP-8
  7. Enter the size of the current variant, i.e. 8
  8. At this stage, you can change other attributes such as "Continue selling when sold out", "Unit" and so on
  9. When ready, click "Save & copy" from the toolbar at the top, this will copy the same attribute and prices for the new variant (that to be created)
  10. Repeat step #6 for the remaining variants, colours or sizes

 

Reordering the variations

For the sizes e.g. S, M, L, XL, 2XL and so on, the computer might not sort it correctly for the human eye.

To change the order of the variations:

  1. On the Products menu, click "Products"
  2. Find the main product e.g. "Super Show Blue/Pink"
  3. Click on the product name to open it
  4. On the Access menu (left-hand side of the page), click "Variants"
  5. Start re-ordering the rows by clicking on the move icon (3 dots on the right-hand side of the page), up or down
