How to enable two-factor authentication

To provide another layer of security, turn on "Two-Factor Authentication by email" to protect access to your Qblue Inventory account.

To enable the two-factor authentication (2FA) by email:

  1. Go to Manage account
  2. Tick "Enable Two-Factor Authentication by email"
  3. Click "Save"

Note: for this to work, you must have a valid email address set in your account profile!

What is 2FA?

After 2FA is enabled, this is what happens the next time you log into Qblue Inventory:

  1. After correctly entering your username and password, an email message with the security confirmation code will be sent to your email address. It may take a few minutes for the code to arrive and if need to, check in the junk mail folder.
  2. The system prompts for the confirmation code similar to the below
  3. Enter the confirmation code
  4. Click Submit to login

The confirmation code expires in 6 minutes. After this time, you can re-login and it will generate a new code to be sent to your email address.

Tip: to avoid having to enter the confirmation code the next time you log in using the same browser, check the "Remember Browser" checkbox to save the current browser session.
