POS - system requirements

Web browser & operating systems

Any modern web browser & operating systems can be used to access Qblue Inventory,

with the exception of when automatic receipt printing is required, which calls for

  • Firefox browser
  • Windows 10 or higher operating system

Eftpos integrations

Currently, Qblue Inventory supports the following Eftpos integration types:

  • In Australia: Square Terminal and Smartpay
  • In New Zealand: Smartpay and Verifone

Receipt printing

There are two printing methods on Qblue Inventory:

  1. Automatic printing (see below) - supported only on Microsoft Windows OS
  2. If there is no receipt printing is found, then it reverts to printing the A4 invoices

To setup automatic printing, please refer to this article: Auto print client setup

We recommend the Epson TM series of receipt printers that support the Epson ESC/POS commands. Check the printer specs from the respective manufacturer's website.

For example:

Epson TM-T82II

eReceipts

The "Email eReceipt" option will be available when finalising a POS order, providing that the customer has a valid email address.

Cash tills

We recommend a cash till that has a RJ12 port to be able to connect to the recept printer by means of a cash drawer kick cable.

Barcode scanners

We recommend the Zebra range of barcode scanners for example:

Zebra DS2208
Zebra LS2208
Zebra DS9308

Note, the above scanners do not support wireless scanning.

Configuration required on Qblue

  1. For receipts (including eReceipts), choose the different options available from the Receipts design page
  2. (optional) setup automatic print client for Windows 10 or higher
  3. (optional) turn off the A4 printing on POS, this is done from the sales settings page under the title "Print A4 invoice instead of receipt"
