How does barcodes scanning work on Qblue


Qblue provides the ability to accept scanned barcodes in the following modules:

  1. Sales orders dispatch:
    • To enable this setting, go to the sales options page, then toggle on "Enable scanning on dispatch queue" (try pressing Ctrl+F to find the text quickly)
    • To ship out & invoice by using barcode scanning:
      • Go to Sales menu > Dispatch queue
      • Click to view an order
      • Start scanning the products
      • When a scanned product is not in the order, the system displays an alert
  2. Stock take:
    • Go to Products menu > Stock take
    • Click to create a new stock take or click on an existing
    • Start scanning the products into the "Scan or search" field
    • The scanned product will be added to the stock take count automatically
  3. Scanning a product barcode into a "SKU" field
    • The system automatically finds the associated product SKU with the scanned barcode
    • This works on pages have the SKU field on it including:
      • Sales orders entry
      • Purchase orders entry
      • Stock take entry
      • Products information
      • Inventory adjustments
      • Location transfers
